Eucharist Ministers Activities and List of Members

We distribute the Holy communion on Saturday & Sunday masses.  Also during Christmas, Easter, Feast days and special occasion.

We visit the Sick & homebound and distribute Holy Communion 

We are 12 Eucharist Ministers. 

 We have our meeting once in three months.  Incase if there are any discussions or tasks to be completed, we discuss on WhatsApp group.

We help in preparing  the Backdrop for every Christmas and Easter.

We help in the Collection at the Christmas, Easter and New year.

Future Planning :

We are planning to have half an hour or one hour adoration exposing the blessed sacrament.  Date and time, yet to be finalized.

At least two or three members will be visiting the sick and praying for them.

 The Parish Social Media team is to serve the Parish as a vital means of evangelization, communication and community building through various digital platforms.

 1. Handling Resurrection Parish Church Social Media Platforms.  Youtube, Instagram and Parish Website and Uploading the Events, Videos and Photos on social media. 

 2. Maintaining and updating the Parish Facebook, Instagram, Youtube, Webpage, and whatsapp communication channels.

 3. Writing the Reports / Articles connected to the Parish and sending it  to the BIS (Bosco Information Services) for Publishing on their portal.

 4. All the works related to Social media of the Parish will be under the Guidance and assistant of the Assistant Parish Priest, Fr. Gregory D'Almeida sdb.

Prayer Service

We conduct Prayer Service Every Wednesday after 6:00 pm Holy Mass & fourth Wednesday Healing Service & Exposition of Blessed Sacrament.

Intercessory Prayer

Every Saturday after 7:30 am. Holy Mass.

Also planning to Conduct a Talk for the Youth of our parish on Pro Active Life.

The Salesian Cooperators are an integral part of the Salesian Family. In a Salesian Parish, they share the mission of St John Bosco by bringing the gospel to daily life through their witness as lay people. 

Their presence in a Salesian Parish helps create a welcoming, family like community where young people, families and the poor experience God’s Love through the Salesian spirit.

Their Role includes:

Living the Salesian charism, Supporting Parish Pastoral ministry, Evangelization, Youth Ministry, Family apostolate, Social Outreach, Promotion of Salesian Vocations, Formation and Leadership, Collaboration with Parish team, and Witness of Christian Life.

Their Motto is “Be good Christians and honest citizens”

To reach out people who are in need of our help,  educate more children & bring happiness in their family.

We have total 20 members in this group.

Activities

a)  Our monthly meeting is scheduled on every 3rd Sunday of the month after 8 am mass to discuss our activities.

b)  We take care of the families those who are in need help and support.

c)  We help the needy children of our parish by paying their school fees.

d)  We help our parishioners incase of emergency medical aid.

e)  We help our parishioners by giving ration to the needy.

f) Once we receive the application from the needy families, we discuss in our meeting and do the house visit and check what is their requirement and help them accordingly.

g) We also collect funds through putting up stalls/canteen and selling eatables.  

h) We visit the sick in the hospital as well as home bound.

i) We also conduct Station of the Cross for the home bound during Lenten season in their house.

j) We visit the mental and disabled institute.

k) We also arrange Christmas party to the needy families of our parish.

Mission:

The mission of the Resurrection Parish Church Altar Servers is to minister at God’s altar with reverence, fidelity, and love. They assist during the celebration of Mass. They also serve at Weddings, First Communion, Confirmation, and other special celebrations in the life of the Church. These include Holy Days, Holy Week, Christmas, and Easter. The presence of these young people at the altar is an important witness, reminding us that Catholics of every age have gifts to offer and a role in ministry.

Training:

The training of the Altar Servers takes place every Sunday at 10 am, after the Sunday School class. After the training, there are organized games for one hour.

12 Teachers, take classes every Sunday and also sit with their class children through the Mass.

Approx 130 children from std I to std XI (XI being the Confirmation batch). Few toddlers willingly register themselves and join std I, which is encouraged.

Duration: June to March 

Activities 

* Commissioning of the Catechists, taking their vows during the Mass. 

* Sunday School opening, with the Parents & children, encouraging a regular attendance at Mass & Sunday School, and the necessary instructions. 

* Prize & Certificates distribution based on attendance of the previous year. 

* Parents Day celebration - children making handmade cards for the parents during an allotted time in class. 

* Vianney Sunday celebration - children prepare cards & gifts for the priest.  A small programme of skit & dance by all children guided by the Youth.  A celebration and message for the Priests in our Parish.

* Common Catechism once in 3 months on topics that are needed for every child in the Parish, like Mass Etiquette Missions, Vocation, etc.

* Adoration / Rosary / Nativity 

* Bible Quiz

* Christmas Get-Together with Skit, Games, Dance, Class-wise photo with Santa and gifts giving. 

* First Holy Communion, a preparation of 2 years for children in std III & IV

* Sacrament of Confirmation a preparation of 1 year for std XI adolescents
